The Erasmus+ Program has selected the SLGB project, aimed at co-creating and delivering a postgraduate course to build capacities in strategic leadership and green entrepreneurship, specifically targeted at graduates in technical and scientific fields.

The project, titled “Strategic Leadership in Green Business” (SLGB), officially began in November 2024 and will run for 24 months.

The consortium comprises the following institutions:

• Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi (Ecuador)

• Universidad de la Costa (Colombia)
• Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina)
• Universidad Nacional de San Martín (Argentina)
• Warm Argentina Asociación Civil (Argentina)
• Latam Connect (Spain)

During the project’s first year, the consortium will consolidate the educational proposal and develop pedagogical content. In the second year, registrations will open in Colombia, Ecuador, and Argentina, offering a total of 180 fully funded spots for the first cohort of students (60 per country).

With its innovative educational approach, SLGB will promote a digital learning environment incorporating gamification principles. The curriculum will provide a comprehensive blend of theory and practice through real-world challenges. In response to these challenges, students will be encouraged to develop green business ideas. The training process will culminate in an “idea hackathon,” where the best project from each country will be selected. These three winners will travel to Spain to participate in business rounds, conferences, and networking events with global investors, aiming to transform their ideas into successful startups.

This project responds to the growing societal and economic demand for environmental responsibility. Innovation in products and processes has become essential to addressing an increasingly complex global landscape. Universities are investing in developing leaders who can leverage their technical expertise to drive sustainable businesses, integrating a systemic vision with a strong social commitment.
